We Will Frustrate Jonathan in 2015 If…North Threatens PDP

July 8, 2013

The north has threatened to frustrate President Jonathan if he attempts to run for the Presidential election in 2015. The region has been clamouring for the return of power to it come 2015 after it believed that the south cheated the region in 2011 when Jonathan ran for the Presidential election in that year after the death of President Yar’Adua in 2010.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting of Arewa Research Development Project, ARDP, in Kaduna, the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, told the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, that all attempts by the party to return President Jonathan in 2015 will be frustrated by the north.

NEF, through its spokesman, Professor Ango Abdullahi, called for a free and fair election in 2015, which he claimed the north will massively win because it has the advantage of an immense voting population.

“We want a free, fair and transparent election in 2015 so that we can use our voting power to return political power to the North. We are working hard to actualise this by putting the North together,” the forum declared.

Abdullahi further stated that a resolution has been reach by the major interest groups in the north to talk with a formidable voice in achieving its dreams.
