It gets messier: Amaechi to Jang: Stop impersonating me

June 16, 2013

The Rivers State Governor and acclaimed Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has accused the Plateau State Governor, Chief Jonah Jang, of impersonating him.

Amaechi, in a statement on today, said Jang had been going around parading himself as the chairman of the NGF, whereas there cannot be two chairmen for the body.

Amaechi said that the Plateau State governor, who declared himself the chairman of the NGF after losing in an election to him by 19 votes to 16, has now gone further to call a meeting of the forum for tomorrow.

Amaechi therefore declared the meeting as non-existent.
He said the only meeting he is aware would hold on Monday in Abuja is the one with President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.

He therefore charged his fellow governors to ignore the meeting called by Jang, adding that the crisis in the NGF, like any other before it, will soon pass away.

THE GAME IS GETTING MESSIER!
