Sons Hack their Mother’s Lover to death!

Tragedy struck in Nkalagu, Obukpa Community in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu state recently following the brutal murder of a staff of the local government area over his alleged love affair with a widow.

It was gathered that the two sons of the widow, identified as Ekene and Chiebolam Eze, laid ambush and attacked the deceased with sticks and matchets.

It was gathered that the accused duo were not happy over the illicit affairs the deceased was having with their mother.

An eye witness account said the suspects dealt a serious  matchet cut on the head of the deceased.

The victim of the brutal attack was said to have been swiftly rushed to Bishop Shanahan hospital, Nsukka where he stayed for about three days without responding to treatment.

He was subsequently referred to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital ( UNTH ) Ituku Ozalla Enugu State for further treatment where he was confirmed dead.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the death of the ex-local government staff.

He disclosed that the command had commenced investigations into the alleged murder.

“It was gathered that the deceased who was also identified as a staff of Health Department of the local Government Area was said to have met his untimely death when he allegedly visited his lady friend and a widow whom he has been relating with before his demise and in course of visiting the lady friend,was allegedly attacked by the two sons of the woman identified as Ekene and Chiebolam Eze with sticks and matchets  having allegedly laid siege against the deceased for constantly having amorous dealings with their mother.

“It was further gathered that Ekene and Chiebolam also allegedly inflicted matchet cut on the head of the deceased and as a result,he sustained serious injury,” he stated.
